Ceilings are a good way to help free up space in one loft bedroom. A loft works in any bedroom, whether it’s a home or a dormitory. Your loft bedroom must be open on at least one of the longest sides so you can put your desk underneath it, but be sure to put a diagonal support table across other long sides to strengthen the ceiling. Always use 2 to 4 boards that support boards. Put support boards along short sides with a distance between them so you can use them as a ladder to get in and out of bed and like a place to hang clothes. Supports placed along one of the long sides and on both of the shorter ends of the ceiling should be sufficient to stabilize your ceiling.
